Abstract

The figure, function and training of teachers has been a subject of constant analysis and debate. Its study can be approached from multiple and diverse perspectives, especially recognizing the importance it has in the educational development of a country. Precisely, in this text the role and importance of the figure of teachers from social justice and curricular justice are analyzed, two powerful concepts that make us turn our gaze to the pedagogical practices developed by teachers in schools; in the type of training provided to children, young people; in the consciousness that is configured from the institutional educational spaces. That is, to question about the role of teachers to position themselves as a promoter of a dominant and unjust social structure or to position themselves as a teacher who develops changes from their microspaces aimed at forming people with thoughts and actions that allow forging more just societies, plural and inclusive.
