Abstract

The objective of this research was to understand the feelings of stress and the events that produce them in fourth grade boys and girls from 4 public educational institutions in Comuna 11 of Medellín, Colombia. The approach used is qualitative, with a phenomenological methodology. It was carried out with 83 students and 2 teachers who were in charge of the 4th grade. The experiences that generate tension, fear or sadness in students, related to school activities, must be heard from their own voice and made known to parents and teachers, in order to take actions that allow children and Girls develop socio-emotional skills, and thus visualize less situations as stressful, so that their transit through school is full of experiences of well-being, which enrich their subjectivity and that of the members of the educational community in general.
