Abstract

The best interests of the child is the transverse axis of Corpus Juris international human rights of children and adolescents, is an integral part of the Convention on the Rights of the Child 1989, which stands out as the international treaty most ratified in the world, since, with the exception of the United States, all states have recognized and introduced in their legislation, accepting the binding force of its principles regarding human rights of children and adolescents.The Inter-American System of Human Rights has ruled multiple opportunities in the sense that children are not only subject to special protection but are of special individual protection personal.In the present work is to determine a notion of interests of the child from the analysis of the performances of the Inter-American Human Rights System, by which it has exercised sovereign defense of the rights of children and adolescents in the Americas, including Colombia.
