Abstract

Here we present the results of an experience assumed from the question: how do we think and recognize ourselves in our context? This, from the perspective of Territorial Intelligence, taking into account the identities, needs and dreams of El Milagro de Dios, an informal settlement community. Ethnographic instruments and methodological precepts of Research-Action-Participation were used. The main result is the proposal of three lines of action, which make up an improvement agenda involving management and co-management among the involved parts: (1) subjects of development, (2) collective action and (3) the territory as a space for lifetime. This project allowed to incorporate “popular†knowledge into the formation of active and critical citizens, from the search of real answers to concrete needs, in order to collectively build a new way of observing, acting and inhabiting an informal territory immersed in the city of Armenia (Colombia).
