Abstract

This paper explores the contemporary manifestations of the theory of value in economics from the perspective of Gérard Jorland, who asks about the knowledge of each historical moment of an ongoing science, and which should allow to approach the process by which scientists discard or adopt one or another theory, and argue the reason for that choice. This means that theories are born with the intention of solving inherited problems and/or solving the problems that they themselves create; the moment at which they do not respond to these problems, theories die. The intention is to explore the theory of value derived from Marxist arguments, raised by Lazzarato and Negri from the concept of immaterial work, as an alternative to that of neoliberal normal science.
