Therefore it is of great importance to study the influence generated by the freedom of expression, truthful and impartial information and to establish mass media in Colombia’s democracy, which are established as fundamental rights in Article twenty (20) of the Constitution. This study was performed taking into account the theoretical approaches of the authors Stein and houses. Moreover, a review of cases involving the infringement is made of the right to freedom of expression and information in Colombia during 2014, of which the Special Rapporteur was informed of the Freedom of Expression of the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights Humans.
