Evaluación de la calidad nutricional y desarrollo vegetativo de zanahoria (daucus carota l) y lechuga (lactuca sativa l) cultivadas con técnicas de agricultura limpia en la region de chapeton-municipio de Ibagué
Resumo
In this study, the vegetative development of Daucus carota L. (carrot) and Lactuca sativa L. (lettuce), cultivated with techniques of clean agriculture and conventional techniques, was determined taking into consideration the number of leaves and the weight of fresh and dry biomass of the samples. For Daucus carota L, the width and length of the root were established, and for Lactuca sativa L, the length and width of the leaves, and the height of the plant. The nutritional quality of both vegetables was evaluated and the presence of pesticides in the plants cultivated with the two different agriculturaltechniques was analyzed. The research demonstrated that the lettuce cultivated with the technique of clean agriculture requires more time to reach its optimal development that the lettuce cultivated with conventional methods; meanwhile the technique applied for Daucus carota L, has no influence on its time of development. The method of production of the vegetables does not generate significant differences among the group of nutrients that were analyzed, except for the content of gross fiber. The pesticide retention was prominent in the carrot cultivated by conventional techniques. Additionally, the study permitted to instruct the student population of the Canyon of Combeima (Cañóndel Combeima, Ibagué-Tolima) in the topics related to the clean agriculture, with the purpose of contributing to the betterment of the quality of life.Downloads
