Abstract
This article presents the results of a research conducted in the classroom with children in the fifth grade of primary school, in a public educational institution in the city of Medellin. This space is affected by complex relational dynamics, as it is tensioned and problematized by cultural diversity. The qualitative research assumes an ethnomethodological theoretical posture, energized through interactive techniques of data collection. As a result, it is found that there is a loss of the family-school connection, because the school context tends to become the only place where the child can build an idea of culture and social relationships, and values such as tolerance, respect, and acceptance of others are circumscribed to the classroom experience.Downloads
