Abstract
This article proposes a conception of the quality of education from a context-dependent perspective, that is, from the vital context of the learners, this perspective being the condition of possibility for quality education by virtue, not only of knowledge, but also of being. To this end, first, you will realize the importance of ethics, emotions and spirituality as those contents that determine educational quality. Second, pedagogy will be understood as the intelligibility of situational education. And third, the problem of knowledge will be understood as a human activity, loaded with values and interests, contrasting, in this way, any conception of the quality of reductionist education, based on standards, metrics and indicators that end up ignoring the vicissitudes and peculiarities of the students.
