About the Journal

Sophia (ISSN 2346-0806) is an open-access scholarly journal published by Universidad La Gran Colombia, Seccional Armenia, devoted to research in education. It publishes original, unpublished articles contributing empirical evidence, conceptual development or systematic review of educational knowledge: policy and management, curriculum and assessment, teacher education, subject-specific pedagogies, higher education, digital technologies, and inclusion and equity. It favours studies situated in Latin American contexts, without excluding other regions. It accepts quantitative, qualitative and mixed approaches. It publishes in Spanish and English, subjects every manuscript to double-blind peer review, and charges no fees to authors.

Scientific Community: architects and visionaries of academia. Sophia brings together a vibrant community of scholars, researchers, policymakers, university managers, faculty, graduate students, and professionals committed to the evolution of higher education. From sociologists of education to artificial intelligence experts, university economists, innovative pedagogues, and institutional leaders, the journal seeks voices from diverse disciplines and regions willing to question, propose, and build the future of the university. Priority is given to those who dare to think beyond established paradigms.

Peer Review Process: rigorous and constructive double-blind peer review. Manuscripts are evaluated by national and international experts, ensuring impartiality, objectivity, and scientific quality.

Ethics Policy: Sophia adheres to the standards of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), ensuring originality, plagiarism prevention, transparency in authorship, and ethical research practices.
